QUICK + EASY ENTERTAINING TIPS

homemade salsa

When tomatoes are in season, I make this over and over again. I love the bright, fresh flavors of the simple ingredients in this salsa fresca recipe. You can adjust the seasonings to your preference and make it as hot as you like. For more heat, leave in some jalapeño seeds.

3 plum tomatoes, diced
2 tablespoons diced white onion
1 teaspoon finely minced, seeded jalapeño
1 tablespoon roughly chopped fresh cilantro
Juice from 1/2-1 lime
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper

In a medium mixing bowl, combine above ingredients. Add more lime juice if necessary.

Makes 1 cup.
