QUICK + EASY ENTERTAINING TIPS

strawberry sauce

This is a perfect sauce for fruit sushi, drizzled over pancakes or waffles or served over ice cream.

1 cup fresh strawberries
1-2 teaspoons sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice

In a food processor, purée strawberries until smooth. Transfer to a small saucepan and simmer over low heat. Add sugar and lemon juice and cook for about 5 minutes, until sugar is dissolved. Allow to cool; then refrigerate until ready to serve.

Makes approximately 1/2 cup.

*Adjust the amount of sugar based on how sweet the strawberries are.
