QUICK + EASY ENTERTAINING TIPS

cranberry chutney

If you’re one of those people who love cranberry sauce right from a can, then by all means go ahead and enjoy it (no judgment here, I grew up loving it that way). But if you are looking for a really easy recipe to make from scratch, then give this one a try. It super easy and can be made ahead of time and served cold, or at room temperature.

8 ounces cranberries, fresh or frozen
Juice from 1 orange
2 strips orange zest
1/2 cup sugar
1 cinnamon stick

Place all ingredients in a medium saucepan and place over medium heat. Simmer until cranberries begin to pop and sauce thickens, about 20 minutes. Remove cinnamon stick and orange zest and discard. Allow chutney to cool to room temperature before serving.

Makes approximately 1 cup.
