QUICK + EASY ENTERTAINING TIPS

pasta with fresh herbs

When fresh herbs are available, this is one of the simplest and easiest ways to enjoy them, lightly tossed with pasta and sprinkled with a little bit of good parmesan cheese.

2 ounces spaghetti
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil, plus extra for drizzling
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons roughly chopped fresh basil
2 tablespoons roughly chopped flat-leaf parsley
1-2 ounces Parmigiano-Reggiano, finely grated

Bring a pot of water to boil and add salt. Add pasta and cook for 7-10 minutes, until al dente. When pasta is done, drain and transfer to a medium bowl. Combine pasta with remaining ingredients and serve warm.

Serves 1.
