QUICK + EASY ENTERTAINING TIPS

very berry smoothie

When the weather outside is particularly warm, I love to make smoothies for breakfast. They’re a really refreshing and healthy way to start your day. Plus, they’re super quick to make and perfect for an on-the-go breakfast or snack. You can also use fresh fruit here as well but the frozen fruit actually help them them a little thicker, which I like, but if you want yours a little thinner, simply add in a bit more milk.

1 1/2 cups ice
1 cup frozen mixed berries (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
2/3 cup low fat milk
6 ounces mixed berry yogurt
1 tablespoon wheat germ, optional

In a blender, chop ice. Add frozen berries, milk, yogurt and wheat germ (if using) and blend until smooth. Add more liquid if too thick.

Serves 1.
