This burger was inspired by a similarly flavored sandwich I had at a restaurant with a friend of mine. I loved the combination of flavors so I decided to turn it into juicy turkey burger, slathered with sauce and covered in a good melting cheese. To save time, simply purchase pre-made coleslaw from the deli.

1/3 pound ground turkey
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
2 teaspoons vegetable oil

Coleslaw
1/2 cup coleslaw mix
1 tablespoon plus 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
1/2 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
1/2 teaspoon sugar
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper

1 slice swiss cheese
1-2 tablespoons Russian dressing

1 small hamburger roll, split

1. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium heat. Using wet hands, form turkey into burger and season both sides with salt and pepper. Brush both sides of burger with vegetable oil and grill for about 5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, until cooked through.
2. Meanwhile, combine ingredients for coleslaw and set aside.
3. When burger is almost done, top with cheese (if using an indoor grill pan, tent burger with aluminum foil so cheese will melt) and cook until cheese melts. Allow burger to cool for 2-3 minutes. Top burger with dressing and coleslaw and serve.

Serves 1.
