QUICK + EASY ENTERTAINING TIPS

candied pecans

These nuts are perfect on their own or drizzled over a salad for an extra crunch. Be sure to add salt as it plays off the sweetness of the sugar.

1 1/4 cups pecans
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 tablespoons light brown sugar
Salt, to taste

1. Preheat oven to 425°F. Place pecans on a baking sheet and bake for about 5 minutes, until lightly golden brown. Set aside.
2. Meanwhile, heat butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar and a pinch of salt and whisk until sugar is dissolved. Stir in pecans and evenly coat. Remove pan from heat and spread pecans in a single layer onto baking sheet and allow to cool slightly. Serve at room temperature.

Makes 1 1/4 cups.
