QUICK + EASY ENTERTAINING TIPS

bacon bbq sliders

Coating this burger with a good, smoky bacon BBQ sauce brings it to a whole new level. The sauce yields enough for two sliders so double this recipe if desired, or save it for a later use.

1/3 pound ground beef
Salt, to taste
Freshly ground black pepper
Cooking spray, for greasing

Bacon BBQ sauce, divided
1 ounce blue cheese
1 small hamburger roll, split

1. In a small bowl, set aside 2 tablespoons bacon BBQ sauce. In a small saucepan, heat remaining bacon BBQ sauce over low heat.
2. Preheat grill or grill pan to medium heat. Form beef into burger and season both sides with salt and pepper. Coat grill with cooking spray and grill for about 5 minutes on one side. Flip and cook for another 2-3 minutes, or until desired doneness. Baste top of burger with warmed bacon BBQ sauce as it finishes cooking.
3. When burger is almost done, top with cheese (if using an indoor grill pan, tent burger with aluminum foil so cheese will melt) and cook until cheese melts. Allow burger to cool for 2-3 minutes. Place some of reserved bacon BBQ sauce on bottom of roll. Top with burger and serve.

Serves 1.
