QUICK + EASY ENTERTAINING TIPS

Tapenade is a thick black olive paste that is generally used as a condiment. It comes in a variety of different flavors, including green olive and sun-dried tomato. It also works really well as a quick spread on breads and sandwiches.

2 1/4-inch thick slices ciabatta bread
2 teaspoons black olive tapenade
Extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling
Freshly ground black pepper
2 slices prosciutto, thinly sliced
2 ounces freshly grated Parmigiano-Reggiano

Preheat grill or grill pan to medium heat. Toast ciabatta until golden, 2-3 minutes per side. Spread 1 teaspoon tapenade on each slice, drizzle with olive oil and season with pepper. Top each slice with prosciutto and Parmigiano-Reggiano and serve.

Serves 1.
